About THF

The Trust Hope Faith (THF) project was born when God planted the desire in the heart of Themba Maluleke to make a difference in communities where people live without hope. Themba dreamed about a better life for children in these circumstances: a life where they could learn about Jesus and His love for them while simultaneously benefiting from an environment in which they could develop their talents and potential. The dream became a reality in January 2010 when an after-school centre was established at Olievenhoutbosch Christian School, just outside Centurion, South Africa.

Blue-O Community Development, a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO), is trading as THF Youth Development in Olievenhoutbosch and Brits. Our mission is to give under-privileged youth the opportunity to pursue and develop their talents, while at the same time bringing hope to a community which are challenged by poverty, abuse and unemployment. The vision of THF Youth Development is to establish a self-sustainable community (we don’t believe in charity but in developing and empowering people).

Themba Maluleke won the SA Young Community Shapers award in 2012. Watch the interview with Themba which aired on the television show Shift (SABC1) on Monday 9 July 2012:
