The first term of 2015

Can you believe we are already through the first team of the year!
Time really flies when you are having fun :-)! So much have happened since the year has started but I think the high point is the new THF After-care center we have started at Brits, North-West province..

I hope you will enjoy our feedback...

We kicked the year off with a camp on a farm for the staff of THF, for praying and fasting for the year ahead. It was amazing
We had a visitor while we were at the camp, his name is ''Hansie'' and he is convinced he is not a sheep.

The after-care stated with a bang, we have around 80 kids this year. We are hoping and praying that we are going to make an everlasting impact on these kid's lives.

The kids and the mentors enjoying activities outside.

Happy is telling a story to the kids!
We had the privilege of partnering with the Department of social development. They came and presented workshops to the community on how to register and run a successful NPO (None Profit Organisation). We hope through this we will see change in the community and we wish to bring more such opportunities.
Mr. Movo Zama from the Department of social development talking to the community...

Every year we take between 12 to 18 leaders form a local school to a camp, to train and equip them to become very good leaders... The camp is always a success because of the great need there is for leadership development...

Leaders enjoying horse riding ... It was for most of them the first time on a horse :-)

There was a cell group who decided to spoil the whole team of THF for the day by sponsoring us with  a trip to Gold Reef City... A day that we will never forget and for most of the team a first time at Gold Reef City.

We just want to say thank you very much to the people who made this day possible for us!! It was an awesome treat! :-)!
We have a new kitchen for our feeding scheme! We are thankful for the new kitchen and we enjoyed renovating the place! We are hoping to feed more than 100 people p/d out of this place.
The boys hard at work...

The Lord have been great to us by trusting us with new a opportunity!! We have kicked off with our After-care program at Brits Sonop (North West Province). Sonop is an informal settlement where there is no running water or electricity. The school is the only place with those facilities. We were very humbled by the way the community received us. The opening was wow and the kids were so happy, we have 250 kids in the program.

A joyful face

Looking forward to bringing hope to this community...
We are thankful for the opportunity which Brother International is giving to our volunteers, Every 3 to 4 months they take 2 of our youth in for an internship program... This kind of opportunity really helps them to dream again and makes their world bigger.

Thank you Stargas for sponsoring us with gas for cooking  this year.

We have finished the term with a bang :-)! Because we have American visitors at THF, they taught us how to play baseball and now the kids can't stop playing it :-)!! We had a great term!

We had a fantastic Holiday program :-)! Around 400 kids were fed and constructively entertained! One of our favourite activities was when the kids were cleaning the community (picking up papers) Amazingly they enjoyed it a lot. Thank you very much to everyone who contributed to the Holiday program.
